About
About Isles Mechanical: built for Punta Gorda.
Isles Mechanical is a Punta Gorda mechanical-services shop covering AC, commercial refrigeration, controls, and indoor air quality. We started it because this area deserves a contractor that picks up the phone, diagnoses honestly, and treats every job - small service call or full install - with the same craft.
Who runs the shop
Led by a 20-year trade veteran.
Isles Mechanical was founded by Craig Z, a technician with 20+ years across the trade - residential AC through supermarket-scale commercial refrigeration and store-level control systems. The shop takes on residential AC, commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and controls work because those are the systems built around a career's worth of experience - not because there's a truck to fill.
- · Over 20 years of HVAC and commercial refrigeration experience
- · Florida Class A Unrestricted HVAC license - CAC1824348
- · HVAC/R Engineering Technology diploma, graduated with honors
- · 5-year refrigeration apprenticeship
- · Novar and Copeland E2 certified - supermarket refrigeration control systems

Pick up the phone
Call any time. We usually pick up, day or night - and if we miss you, we call back.
Diagnose honestly
Our recommendations consider equipment condition, reliability, and repair cost. We explain when a repair makes sense and when replacement deserves consideration.
Do the work
Licensed techs, parts on the truck, site left clean. Follow-up after every install.

Craig was great… checked all the boxes! Answered the phone, let me know approximately when he would be here, showed up on time, fixed the problem, and educated me on some tips to prevent it from happening in the future. Thank you!

I reached out to Craig looking for a heat pump installed in my house. From the initial phone call to completion of the project Craig went above and beyond to ensure everything was done right, on time and at a fair price. I will definitely be calling Isles Mechanical for all my future projects.

Highly recommend Isles Mechanical. I had an HVAC issue that shut my system down, and Craig from Isles Mechanical was quick to respond and get everything back up and running. Very knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to explain the issue and the fix. Since he’s not part of a big company, pricing was very reasonable. He also offers maintenance and emergency service. Based in Punta Gorda Isles and services the local area.

I highly recommend Craig with Isles Mechanical. He installed a mini split in our master and did fantastic work!! Craig is very knowledgeable and friendly, he made sure everything was cleaned up, gave us a class on the remote and showed us how to clean the filters.

Huge shoutout to Isles Mechanical for the HVAC system at Badland Music Group studio. Building a professional recording studio isn’t just about gear — temperature control, airflow, and keeping sessions comfortable for long hours is a massive part of creating a real professional environment. These guys absolutely knocked it out of the park. From planning to installation, everything was done professionally, cleanly, and with attention to detail. The system runs incredibly quiet, keeps every room comfortable, and was done with true craftsmanship. When you’re building a high-end recording space, details matter — and they delivered big time. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality work done right the first time. We truly appreciate the hard work and professionalism. Thank you for helping bring the Badland vision to life. 🔥

The experience I had with Isles Mechanical impressed me. The Technician was very knowledgeable, located and fixed my issue in no time at all. I wasn’t pressured into periodic maintenance, but did offer that service. They definitely deserve the 5 star rating!
